I can definitely vouch for not winging it. I have had plenty of customers come to me with minor problems that were overlooked because they simply jumped into a project without proper planning. As a result, seemingly initially simple problems turned into large fixes after the remodeling was complete.

I would definitely recommend using a contractor. Just be careful of the scammers out there. Look for a reputation and check the references.

For those that don’t have a lot of money for a remodeling job I recommend looking at making decorative changes to the bathroom instead. New shower curtain, window curtains, matching towels, waste basket and rug can make an old bathroom look new again.

Some great tips here!
When planning your budget be sure to consider the finishing touches liek bath mats, toothbrush holders, bathroom scales, wall hangings, toilet roll holders and other bathroom accessories. I think after all the decorating is completed its the finishing touches that ‘make’ the room.

Hiring a good contractor is probably the most important thing you can do. Check local business review sites such as Yelp or Yahoo! Local to find which local contractors have good ratings and have done good work in the past. Good post, thanks for sharing.
